During the months of December and January orders were placed for a Pelton Turbine, supplied by Calder AG of Switzerland and a Desalination Plant supplied locally by Citor Pty Ltd. The turbine and desalinator allowed the conversion of the high pressure seawater into power and freshwater.
Modifications have been undertaken to the discharge pipeline to accommodate this equipment.
The next exciting phase of the project is the connection of a generator, plus ancillary equipment to the Turbine, which will enable us to produce electricity. In addition, the Desalination Plant will be connected to produce fresh water.
